We also provide pre and post procedure care to patients that have undergone cardiac procedures, such as catheterization/angioplasty, stents, ablations, and placement of pacemakers, and defibrillators. Our nurses receive specialized training in arterial sheath removal and Tikosyn administration and are ACLS certified. Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience. Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination. External candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years of related acute care experience. External candidates must successfully complete a competency assessment provided by nursing education.Internal candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience must be approved by their current Nurse Manager and the site CNO.
