Position Summary: This position is familiar with
multiple product lines but may focus on one product line to develop
product expertise and works independent with some supervision of work.
Has successfully managed some medium specification projects that shipped
and/or made some sales calls or presentations independently. Can quote
and handle Service related issues. Choice to assign more complex work is
becoming a non-issue. Can travel independently on occasion, assists in
training others and/or performs FEA/design calculations in a blended
role. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training
· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Experience:
1-15 years
Other:
· Must be willing to work overtime as required.
· International travel may be required.
· Domestic travel may be required.

Requirements


To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Must have proficiency in MS office applications including spreadsheet,
enterprise resource planning, database, and specialized application
software.

and/or safety programs established by GHM, our clients, and/or
regulatory agencies which govern our performance and behavior in the
normal course of our work while on GHM or the client’s property or job
site.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Proficient in engineering application software such as Autodesk
Inventor; the ability to learn analytical software such as ANSYS, CFX,
etc.

quality product with the most efficient utilization of labor and
materials: consistently achieves schedule goals; displays initiative,

Proficient in math including algebra and geometry for first level
engineering calculations and pricing models required. Additional skills
for engineering modeling desired.
25. Sound engineering judgement required to support customer-consulting tasks.
26. Customer Relationship Skills to establish technical scope, requirements, and technical corrective actions.
27. Ability to operate cross functionally within the organization and drive product improvements throughout the process.

Experience reading technical drawings desired with a drive to be detail
oriented and willingness to learn specification requirements.
29. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
30.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents,
logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply
mathematical operations such as tasks as frequency distribution,
determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
31.
Listens and gets clarification; ability to respond effectively to the
most sensitive inquiries or complaints; writes clearly, correctly, and
informatively; ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex
documents; maintains confidentiality.
32. Proficient in presentation and communication to non-finance functional groups.
33. Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
34. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are a must.
35. Ability to solve practical problems in a timely manner whilst dealing with a level of ambiguity.
36. Must be detail oriented with ability to maintain a strategic outlook.
37. Proactively identify problems and collaborate with management on implementing possible solutions.

Maintain current technical knowledge pertaining to position;

43. Have basic knowledge of GD&T principal and working knowledge of a variety of machining processes.
44. Team skills, working with machinists and project engineers to develop, maintain, and improve processes are very important.
