Job DescriptionResponsible for welding pipe, structural components, and related materials throughout ship interiors/exteriors and shipyard facilities using multiple welding processes at our 63-acre site. Follow instructions under intermittent supervision and weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Operate welding and safety equipment; set up and use common hand and power tools. Select and install torches, tips, filler rods, and flux based on metal type and welding specifications. Perform TIG, GMAW, FCAW, and/or MIG welding to fuse metal segments; air-arc gouge as needed. Detect faulty equipment/materials, troubleshoot problems, and ensure proper storage of tools. Maintain steady hand/arm control, close-range vision, coordination, and physical stamina to perform precise welding tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned; maintain reliable attendance; follow all safety, environmental, and company policies. Core Competencies

Requirements Minimum Qualifications Ability to pass ABS tests in FCAW and 6G TIG on carbon and/or stainless steel. Self-motivated and able to work independently on an 8-for-8 basis. Able to work in all weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience, prior shipyard experience preferred. Bilingual skills a plus. Comfortable in fast-paced environments; knowledge of construction/repair materials and methods.
