Requirements:


Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Bar Membership: Active bar membership in New York. Federal bar membership is a plus

Experience: While litigation experience is preferred, we welcome new bar admittees to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in litigation cases with a focus on achieving the best outcomes.
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop strong case strategies.
Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Provide expert legal counsel to clients, guiding them through the complexities of litigation.
Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other key legal proceedings.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Compensation:


1-7 Years of Experience: $49.00 per hour

7+ Years of Experience: $52.00 per hour

Additional Opportunity:
On Call Counsel also offers a direct hire, permanent full-time role with a non-profit organization, focusing on Landlord/Tenant matters in the Bronx. This position offers a salary range between $85,000 to $113,000, with the convenience of being in the office only one day per week.
