Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting candidates for several QC Specialist positions at a food and beverage company located west of Chicago. The overall responsibility of the QC Specialist position is to audit finished goods as well as the manufacturing facility to ensure conformance to GMP guidelines and company policies and procedures.

 Various shifts are available:
 


2nd shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm with a rotating Saturday schedule
3rd shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am with a rotating Saturday schedule

Additional Responsibilities:


Perform audits / inspections of the facility, product, production lines, and equipment
Perform QC laboratory testing of equipment and product disposition
Identify out of compliance conditions and/or products related to food safety and quality
Place products or materials on hold that are outside of the quality specifications
Investigate the causes of non-conforming material or product by reviewing documents, conducting interviews, looking at physical evidence, etc.
Assist with addressing and resolving customer complaints
Make suggestions to improve efficiency, food safety and quality, and cost savings

Qualifications:


3-5 years’ QC experience in the food and beverage industry
Knowledge of GMP’s, HACCP, SQF, FDA regulations for food and beverages, or internal auditing is desired
Must be able to complete a skills assessment test to assess basic skills needed to be successful in the position
Good analytical skills including observation, attention to detail, and problem solving
Ability to multi task, organize and prioritize tasks
Good English communication skills; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Ability to work independently and be proactive
Computer skills: email, internet, some Microsoft Office familiarity
