OVERVIEW
The role of Assembly Technician I is centered on the precise and efficient assembly of natural gas fuel systems across various production zones, utilizing an array of materials, parts, and sub-assemblies. This position would be ideally suited for individuals with backgrounds in mechanical, automotive repair, or automotive maintenance, with a hands-on approach and the use of tools and equipment.

Schedule: Mon-Thur 6am-4:30pm OT as needed
PRIMARY GOALS
Additional tasks beyond this list may be incorporated into the job duties and responsibilities based on the company's requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


Possess a thorough understanding of the flow and movement of materials, parts, and assemblies through the manufacturing and assembly stages.
Interpret work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and operation sheets to establish the sequence of operations and materials necessary for the assembly process.
Construct sub-assemblies, structural elements, and plumbing for fuel systems.
Adhere to all prescribed steps within the assembly standard work process.
Inspect all components for uniformity and critical fits during the assembly process.
Ensure all assembly work is defect-free before the final quality control inspection.
Operate, clean, and maintain various tools and equipment as part of the assembly procedures.
Maintain both handwritten and electronic records to ensure compliance with internal, safety, and regulatory standards.
Participate in and support Lean assembly activities.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred: Manufacturing experience in a related field and strong mechanical aptitude.
Competence in personal computer use and ERP business systems software corresponding to job duties.
Acquire Texas Railroad Commission certification for CNG service and installation within 45 days of employment.
Achieve proficiency in assigned assembly line tasks.
If driving is required for the role, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets the company’s insurance policy criteria is mandatory.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
