The company's core markets include Consumer Products, Medical/Healthcare, Personal Care, Health & Beauty, Caps & Closures, and Packaging.Position Title: Operator, Assembly I Location: All Plastics Locations Reports to: Shift Supervisor Job Code: PAT007 Last Updated: May 2018Position Summary Responsible for operation of automated assembly equipment and related equipment that is necessary to assure the production is of optimum quality. Primary Functions Observe continuous operation of automatic assembly machines to ensure that products meet quality and customer specifications. Escalate any issues to shift supervisor and/or quality as necessary. Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the supervisor with potential problems. Regularly clean/wipe down molds. Perform deep cleaning of the assembly machines and other equipment, including removing guards to gain access to all areas requiring cleaning, following proper safety (LOTO) procedures. Troubleshoot automation equipment as needed, reporting machine jams, malfunctions, and robot crashes in a timely manner through proper chain of command. Maintain effective 6S methodology within and around the automation cell. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs in the assembly cell. Maintain inventory control and material traceability records within work area. Understands and follows plant safety rules. Helps to identify and eliminate any safety hazard or concern. Assists in monitoring of quality of work output. Maintains compliance with company policy and procedures. Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Responsible for reporting any problems or concerns to direct Supervisor. Maintains good working relations with all other employees. Strives to have no conflicts with other employees. Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work. Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Self-motivated to learn and perform job tasks to meet or exceed customer and company expectations. Demonstrates the capacity to work at an efficient rate to meet production goals and standards. Effectively communicates with others both verbally and in writing. Ability to work 12 hour shifts, as applicable.
