TowHaul is seeking a high caliber and highly detailed person for the position of Welder / Fabricator. This important position performs the fit-up and welding of the various products TowHaul offers. Primary areas of responsibility include fit-up, welding & quality inspection of parts. Salary: DOERESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Practice safe work habits at all times
Fit-up components for welding according to specifications
Align components using jigs, clamps, jacks & wedges.
Weld components in various positions (flat, vertical, horizontal & overhead)
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover discontinuities and defects
Maintain equipment in a condition that minimizes down-time and does not compromise safety
Set-up & break-down of parts and assemblies for paint
Practice 5S (Sort, Set-in Order, Shine, Standardize & Sustain) in assigned work area
Continuously improve processes and standards related to the Welder / Fabricator position
REQUIRED SKILLS
Able to follow standard safety procedures & consistently wear protective clothing
Minimum of two years' experience as a welder / fabricator
Experience using electrical and manual tools (saws, grinders, squares, calipers etc.)
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, schematics & technical drawings
Ability to successfully pass horizontal, vertical and overhead welding certification tests
Consistent availability for scheduled shifts

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however can be severe and caution shall be executed with the use of PPE as required.Performance standards:
