As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in collecting, processing, and preparing enterprise data for analytics and reporting, to support WK Kellogg’s digital business initiatives.

 

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 


Utilize Your Tech-pertise: You will be scoping and designing technical solutions, working with a variety of internal customers, including functional stakeholders, data scientists and data analysts. You will develop and maintain solutions to ingest raw data from enterprise systems and third parties into the Kellogg data lake to build a better tomorrow.
Transform: Part of you day to day will be all about engineering data transformations to prepare data for analytics according to business requirements. You will also get to design and build data warehouse models
Best Practices: You will be establishing and championing data engineering best practices within the engineering community. While being a champion you will analyze incoming data and trends and develop monitoring systems to track anomalies and data quality issues.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: You will be driving innovation and continuous improvement of the global data engineering practice, including evaluation of emerging technologies and approaches.
Exposure to a variety of technologies: You’ll have the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of data products, working with a range of AWS services, including S3, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, Glue and SageMaker.


 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


Bachelor degree REQUIRED
Oversee forecast evaluation methodologies for generating more dynamic models to increase forecast accuracy 
Manage the review of forecast inputs/outcomes and provide insights to leadership for business drivers
Lead sustainment/enhancement of forecasting models and best data governance/practices processes
Proven experience developing and maintaining production data pipelines and ETL jobs
Expert with SQL, Python and/or R
Knowledge of Snowflake, BW HANA, Alteryx and Power BI
Experienced in data modelling for self-service business intelligence, advanced analytics, and user applications
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts by adjusting messaging to the audience: business partners, IT peers, external stakeholders, etc.
