Manager of Project Development

Our client in the transportation industry is seeking a highly-motivated  Manager of Project Development to join their team 

Location:  This role will be primarily onsite in Cary, NC (in the Raleigh-Durham area).

Salary:  Up to $160,000 + bonus potential

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • This is a leadership role with director-level responsibilities
    You will be leading software development teams in the design, development, integration and support of software products and systems

  • Managing end-to-end delivery, from requirements to post-implementation
  • Leading project planning, execution, and resource management
  • Resolving issues and risks, supporting application operations
  • Gathering requirements and creating business cases
  • No hands on coding, but expected to engage in technical conversations

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelorâ s degree in Computer Science or equivalent credentials/experience
  • 7+ years working in a software development environment; prior hands-on software development experience is a plus but not required
  • 2 years software development management/team lead experience (Director-level experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS
  • Understanding of Java or .NET
  • PMP or willingness to obtain PMP after hire is required
