EJ Equipment Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Service Mechanic to join our team in Shakopee, MN. This is a full-time, hourly position in the Commercial Heavy Equipment industry. As a Diesel Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service and maintenance to diesel equipment and vehicles. You will be working on a variety of diesel engines, including but not limited to trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. This is an individual contributor role, and you will report directly to the Service Manager.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment and vehicles, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and brake repairs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel equipment and vehicles, to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing updates on repair progress and recommendations for preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
