FLOATING REQUIRED as needed, expectation would be to float to the sister unit which is 5th West ICCU (same patient population).
Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
The 1st floor Intermediate Critical Care Unit is an exciting 20-bed unit that exists to provide specialized care for patients with potentially life-threatening health problems that include but are not limited to: Unstable hemodynamics; Respiratory distress requiring non-invasive respiratory support; SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: ***The unit is now taking COVID-19 patients and travelers will be expected to care for them. Only one pressor drip per patient, anymore and they're transferred to ICU. Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit. UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXSIS, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: **cannot approve weekend block scheduling requests due to weekend requirements***
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 Hours/2 Full days orientation
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***
