Clinical Therapist - Foster Care & Adoption
The Clinical Therapist in Foster Care & Adoption receives training in evidenced-based practices to address the unique needs of young people living in out-of-home care. You will work collaboratively with the treatment team to facilitate a holistic treatment plan, unique to each service recipient’s needs. Therapy occurs both in the office and therapeutic foster home setting for service recipients ranging from infant to 21 years old. A trauma-informed philosophy is utilized by all to ensure best practice and to assist in prioritizing self-care planning.
Master's Degree in a Human services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.)
• Associate or Independent Professional Licensure in the state of Kentucky (CSW, LPCA, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, etc.)
• Experience working with children / family services within the previous two years
• Extensive knowledge of family systems, dynamics of domestic violence, substance misuse, child abuse, parenting, child development or the cycle of violence required
