The Sociology Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year visiting position for the 2024-2025 academic year starting July 1st. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would further the College's goals of enhancing the educational experiences of students while building a diverse and inclusive educational environment. The teaching load in the department is 5 courses for the year. D. in Sociology or expect to complete all requirements by Fall 2024.

In our department, we are committed to inspiring a range of students to study sociology through reading thought-provoking texts, classroom discussion, experiential learning, and independent research, supported by faculty. We also strongly value and support faculty research.
