Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med Surg - Pulmonary/Vascular Thoracic Surgery - CP16


Shift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs/week. Weekends as needed

Length : 8 weeks
Holiday Requirements: Expected to fill in holes
Requirements:

~ WA license
~1 Year Experience
~ Experience with drains and tubes (chest tubes and trachs are seen often)
~ BLS
~ MS Cert preferred

Others :
~ Charting System: Cerner
~ First time traveler
~ RN's required to titrate drips: Heparin per protocol
~# Beds: 21 all private
~ Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 for both days and nights
~ Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Head and neck reconstruction, flap surgery (ex. removing part of tongue and using skin from another part of the body to replace), esophageal reconstruction, Thyroid, breast reconstruction, urology- nephrectomy- partial and full, ilieoconduit- CBI, vascular, plastic surgery, Pulm- r/o TB, COVID (this was the COVID unit when COVID was prevalent), infectious diseases- negative pressure rooms specific to this unit. Trached patients (no vents). Not unusual to have multiple tubes/drains
~ Float to med surg within scope.. First to float
