The Nurse Medical Surgical Intensive Care will report directly to the ICU Nurse Manager. This role involves close collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.

The Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a high-intensity unit where nurses provide specialized care to critically ill patients with a range of complex medical conditions. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring and life-support technology to manage patients in critical conditions effectively. Our team is known for its expertise, resilience, and commitment to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced setting.

As a Nurse Medical Surgical Intensive Care, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, managing complex medical equipment, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. You will provide continuous evaluation and adjustment of care based on patient conditions, educate patients and families on medical procedures and recovery, maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and ensure a safe and sterile environment within the ICU.

Requirements

  • Current RN license 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or similar high-acuity environment preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, proficiency in operating advanced medical equipment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and resilient with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
