It is an exciting time to be a nurse at HCA Healthcare Help to advance the practice of nursing and improve positive outcomes for your patients as a (an) RN OR First Assist. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the N.Nurse Practice Act, recognized nursing techniques, and both clinical and administrative policies. The Registered Nurse functions in the role of Registered Nurse First Assistant after meeting credentialing criteria and carries out functions that will assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The RNFA practices under the supervision of the surgeon during the first assisting phase of the intraoperative role. The RNFA does not function concurrently as a scrub/circulator during the RNFA component of surgical patient care. You must possess In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, includingda Vinci Robot (SI), orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery

~ You will assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care before and after surgery 

~ You will ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment

You will keep the operating room sterilized
You will pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation
Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care
