HCA Florida Largo Hospital is a 455-bed statutory teaching hospital, nestled in the coastal community between Clearwater and St. It is part of HCA Florida Healthcare, a family of more than 650 sites of care and the largest healthcare network in Florida. The hospital offers a number of specialty services including advanced cardiac care, from minimally invasive heart procedures to heart transplantation, complex GI services, kidney and liver transplantation, weight loss surgery, advanced stroke care, robotic surgery, and many other services. HCA Florida Largo Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education program is affiliated with USF Morsani College of Medicine.
The Transplant & Oncology Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides care to patients pre and post liver and kidney transplantation, dialysis care, and infusion and oncology patients. Care for transplant, oncology, and medical patients such as pre and post kidney and liver transplant, transfusion and cancer patients, dialysis patients, GI bleeds, sickle cell, and transplant & Oncology patients. Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
