On Call Substitute Teacher We are hiring many On Call Substitute Teachers in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Metro Area. These are short-term substitute roles that are perfect for those that need flexibility and a job that fits around their schedule. Zen Educate is looking for certified substitute teachers who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to children’s lives. This is a great opportunity to build experience and build relationships with multiple schools in your community. You will also gain exposure to a broad range of teaching styles and behavior management principles. Ideal Candidates: Retired teachers who still want to work and contribute to children’s learning, but do not want to grade assignments, lesson plan, or take on additional responsibilities Graduate students who are looking to gain experience and classroom management skills. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with schools and get some invaluable experience Working professionals who are looking to transition to more meaningful work that contributes to society and the development of children and need to gain some school experience. And many others Key Duties: Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Assign lessons and follow the classroom teacher’s lesson plans Maintaining a safe learning environment Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed Minimum Requirements: MN Short Call Substitute Teaching License or higher (This is a must) Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (If you have a bachelors degree, Zen can help guide you through the process to get licensed and apply for a Short Call Substitute License) Preferred Requirements: (don’t let these stop you from applying) Tier 3 or 4 MN teaching license Master's Degree Accredited Teacher Preparation Program Additional Requirements: Additional requirements include US Work Authorization. Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time. Applicants must have proficiency in English Pay: Teacher pay will reflect qualifications and experience level.
