CVICU is a 18 bed unit that supports three surgical lines, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular at the ICU level. Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit with our specialized trained nurses. Nursing ratio is 1:2, however depending on the patient can be a 1:1. The unit also supports complex cases coming from cath lab, structural heart program and EP lab, ER and clinic. We do not utilize CNAs in our ICU. 18 bed CardiacThoracicVascular Intensive Care Unit.
Nursing ratio is 1:1.Population we care for in CVICU: ECMO, Balloon Pumps, CRRT, Heart Surgeries, TAVRs, Common and Advanced thoracic and cardiac surgeries, Lytic cases, Carotids and TCARS Fempop, EVAR's/Endo AAA's
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
