Summary:

Per Se Group has an immediate need for an experienced Operations Technician for an opportunity in California working at a 200-megawatt natural gas electric peaking generating station. This facility plays a crucial role in supporting local renewable wind and solar power sources. 

Responsibilities Perform Control Room Operator position duties, responding to abnormal and emergency conditions in the most effective manner while complying with safety and environmental requirements.Continuously monitor system and component conditions, evaluating performance to determine plant and equipment functionality.Maintain all plant equipment to meet plant dispatch requirements.Report any upset conditions or anomalies in plant status to the Operations and/or Maintenance Supervisor.Assist in conducting acceptance and performance tests on existing or new plant equipment.Undertake basic maintenance duties including predictive and preventative maintenance, replacement of basic parts (filters, gaskets, etc.), valve maintenance, light electrical and/or controls work, etc.Assist with major maintenance on plant equipment conducted by external contractors.Participate in physical inventories and maintain assigned working locations in an organized manner. Preferred Skills and Expertise High school graduate or equivalent, along with trade school, related military service training programs, or technical training school programs.Strong mechanical ability and familiarity with power and precision tools.Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions related to power plant equipment.Possession of a valid driver's licensePandoLogic.
