Stay for the culture.What You’ll Be DoingMUST RESIDE IN NEW MEXICO OR THE SOUTHWEST REGIONWe are seeking a strategic and collaborative Associate Director, Provider Engagement to lead our oncology-focused provider engagement and practice transformation efforts in the New Mexico. Reporting to the National Provider Engagement Sr. Director, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with oncology groups to drive physician engagement, practice transformation, and own overall group performance within your territory. You will design and execute strategies that elevate provider performance, enhance care quality, and drive improved outcomes in oncology care delivery.You will act as a trusted partner, helping the groups navigate quality initiatives, performance analytics, and incentive programs. The ideal candidate brings oncology experience, understands the complexity of specialty care in value-based care frameworks, and thrives at the intersection of clinical quality, operations, and strategic provider collaboration. This leadership role is responsible for managing high-value provider relationships and driving practice transformation across multiple markets. You will influence change, drive measurable results, and foster long-term oncology group relationships.What You Will Be DoingServe as the primary relationship owner for assigned oncology groups within your respective market(s)Cultivate productive, trusted relationships with key executives—including C-level clinical and administrative leadershipLead practice transformation initiatives to advance quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes in alignment with value-based care objectives, including various incentive modelsStrategically build clinical and administrative leadership relationships to support business development activities across key health systems, oncology groups, and community practicesUse advanced analytics to inform engagement strategies, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvementUtilize data-driven resources to run efficient/effective meetings and work sessions with oncology groups and all relevant subject matter experts both internal and external to EvolentPartner with oncology group leadership to build change management processes and support the practice pull through activities needed to drive change at scale through effective project managementInfluence clinical and operational changes through effective communication, facilitation, and influence with practice leadership, physicians, APPs, pharmacists, and practice administratorsDevelop and deliver compelling leadership presentations to clinical and executive audiences to drive alignment and accountabilityManage multiple markets, prioritizing and scaling engagement efforts to optimize program impactQuarterback initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (i.e., product, medical, pharmacy, strategic accounts), to support practice needs, launch new quality initiatives, and guide practices through various transformation enablers such as EMR integrations and incentive programsFacilitate oncology group education and training related to new quality initiatives, partnering with relevant Evolent clinical subject matter experts, rollout of new patient navigation and technology-driven engagement platforms, inclusive of practice workflows changes and EMR integrations. and various technology integrations and platformsPartner with Provider Engagement Market Managers to ensure successful adoption and engagement of Evolent’s solutions (i.e., prior authorization, clinical pathways) to ensure timely patient access to care and drive high provider satisfaction, measured by CSAT and NPS scoresSupport the development and execution of innovative engagement opportunities such as regional clinical symposiums and local provider experience advisory panelsOwn market level engagement strategy and collaborate with provider engagement market managers to ensure change management initiatives are successful and drive key performance indicatorsPartner with Evolent Strategic Account teams and payer clients to align priorities and deliver high-quality provider network engagement, performance reporting, and present to health plans clientsMaintain detailed records of practice interactions, progress on transformation, initiatives, and market trendsRepresent the organization at regional forums/clinical symposiums, conferences, and support business growth opportunitiesQualifications RequiredMinimum 5+ years in oncology, holding leadership roles within oncology clinical service lines, and/or practice group, national oncology networks, or healthcare consulting/equivalent experience. Must demonstrate clinical acumen with proven experience in provider engagement, value-based care operations, and/or practice transformationHighly preferred oncology clinical experience (i.e., RN, NP)Must demonstrate knowledge of healthcare delivery operations, population health management best practices with proven success leading initiatives across clinical, operational, and financial domains in complex healthcare environmentsDemonstrated success managing clinical and administrative leadership relationships and driving clinical/operational changeStrong understanding of value-based care, healthcare delivery systems, and payment modelsProven ability to develop and present content to clinical and executive leadersHighly skilled at influencing and facilitating change in complex healthcare environmentsStrong analytical acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive actionAbility to manage multiple markets and prioritize work across diverse stakeholder groups.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to travel up to 25-30%.To comply with HIPAA security standards (45 C.F.R. sec. 164.308 (a) (3)), identity verification may be required as part of the application process. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors.
