Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse the technician performs patient care procedural assistance and assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of flexible endoscopes. Achieves goals set during previous evaluation period. Demonstrates clinical proficiency in direct patient care, procedural physician assistance, and therapeutic instrumentation. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain effective employee relations through collaborative integration of the health care team. Facilitates effective communication with patients, families, physicians and nursing personnel. Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
