Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Test Technician to join our team focused on ensuring the quality and functionality of our circuit boards. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of electronic components, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional testing of circuit boards using multimeters, oscilloscopes, schematics, etc.
  • Perform component-level testing to identify defects and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test procedures and protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and daignose issues with circuit boards, including soldering, and rework as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, including documenting any discrepancies or failures.
  • Assist in the development and optimizations of test fixtures and a equipment.
  • Participate in contiuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on circuit boards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
  • Experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
  • Familiarity with soldering and rework techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment
  • Contract to Hire opportunity for 3 months.
  • 1st Shift - 7am to 5:30 pm Mon-Thurs; 7 am - 12 pm on Fridays.
