Software/Cloud Architect with Security Clearance BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Software/Cloud Architect in Fort Meade, Maryland to manage high‑level technical specifications and lead application design, cloud strategy, and integration of software applications into a functioning system. Responsibilities Define high‑level technical specifications for complex software applications, including overall system architecture, data models, and interface specifications. Operate and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure, provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources. Ensure cloud security and compliance for all cloud resources. Work with virtual machines, containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing technologies. Develop and maintain technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical guides. Qualifications 8+ years of experience with multiple cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud). 8+ years of software engineering experience within a cloud environment. Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks. Experience with virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing. Proven ability to build, manage, and automate CI/CD pipelines. Hands‑on experience with IaC tools, particularly Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the development lifecycle. Experience with multi‑cloud/hybrid cloud environments. Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications. Top Secret / SCI w/CI Poly Security Clearance required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering. Salary: $160,000.00–$180,000.00 (Fort Meade, MD).
