Primary Focus:
  • Perm Role - $20 - $30 pending level of experience
  • The primary role of the Electrician II is to provide all required materials to each department before they are required.
  • Specific Accountabilities:
  • Manufacture control panel assemblies.
  • Execute the daily production schedule through proper utilization of people, material, machinery, and process to meet customer requirements, schedule compliance and cost objectives.
  • Ensure that all materials are in the workstation before they are required.
  • Sustain and improve 5S system. (A place for everything and everything in its place)
  • Facilitate daily team meetings with department employees at the beginning of your shift. (See attachment)
  • Review daily KPI's.
  • Provide goals.
  • Review issues. (Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, OTD, Labor Efficiency Etc.)
  • Ensure workers adhere to company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Enforce company safety policy.
  • Ensure workers are wearing proper PPE and working in a safe manner.
  • Make sure that employees have been properly trained before starting a task.
  • Enforce company attendance policy.
  • Ensure quality of work is maintained to a high standard (Quality Control)
  • Manage time and attendance system. Approve timecards daily.
  • Enforce disciplinary action required as per company policies and procedures
  • Ensure workers have proper tools and material to complete station tasks.
  • Promote employee development through effective verbal and written communications, cross-training and solicitation of feedback on problem solving and continuous improvements.
  • Resolve any work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality of work.
  • Ensure workers are following scheduled break times.
  • Review all bill of materials and drawings to fully understand scope of work.
  • Become familiar with equipment being installed.
  • Complete required paperwork and reporting systems.
    • Report issues on LLERP
    • Production report on LLERP
    • Update visual aids
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills, team building skills and the ability to supervise and motivate effectively.
  • Provide written shift hand-off instructions as well as verbal communication.
  • Always maintain company confidentiality.
  • Working Conditions:
  • This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, hard-toed safety shoes or boots, etc.) must be always worn where required.
  • It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Completion of high school or equivalent education (Additional education in Industrial Supervision is preferred).
  • Analytical problem solver with good communication skills.
  • 5 years' experience with control wiring.
  • 2 years'+ experience in HVAC preferred.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with sheet metal assembly helpful.
  • ISO, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D problem solving and Visual Factory Management experience preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
  • Stripping and crimping experience.
  • Familiar with blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiar with lock out and tag out.
  • Trouble shooting switch gear experience.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be flexible in the ability to support other process areas when needed.
  • Intermediate mechanical/electrical aptitude.
  • Must be able to use standard hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Familiar with NEC Code Book.
  • Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product.
  • Reports to: Electrical Lead or Supervisor
