This role is critical in shaping and executing high-impact marketing programs that drive demand, accelerate pipeline growth, and elevate Cognizant’s brand presence in the market.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise marketing within the Retail and CPG sectors, a strong command of field engagement strategies, and a passion for leveraging data, technology, and emerging trends, especially AI, to deliver measurable business outcomes. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, team development, and customer-centric innovation.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and execute integrated B2B marketing plans aligned with sales goals and vertical prioritiesOwn budget, performance tracking, and ROI analysis across campaigns and programsLead and mentor a team of field marketers while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountabilityContent & CampaignsBuild content strategies tailored to Retail & CPG audiences—thought leadership, case studies, solution briefs, and digital assetsOptimize content across channels: events, email, web, and socialLeverage tools like Pardot, 6sense, and Salesforce to drive ABM and nurture programsEvent MarketingLead planning and execution of key industry events such as NRF, executive roundtables, customer forums, and partner activationsEnsure events align with brand and business goals, analyze event performance and apply insights to future strategyField Alignment & CollaborationPartner with sales to identify growth opportunities and deliver localized campaignsCollaborate with global marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure message consistencyAct as the voice of the field, sharing insights to shape broader marketing initiativesPerformance OptimizationMonitor campaign and event metrics to improve conversion and engagementReport on KPIs including lead generation, pipeline contribution, and sales enablementQualifications10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with expertise in field marketing, content strategy, and event execution5+ years in enterprise marketing within the Retail & CPG sectorsExperience leading high-performing teams and managing cross-functional initiativesProficiency with ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense), CRM (Salesforce), and marketing automation (Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua)Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skillsCuriosity and foundational understanding of AI and its role in marketing innovationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentWork modelWe strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
