The Manager enforces company policies, guides the sales team to meet goals, collaborates with the District Sales Manager and Store Support Center to drive initiatives and business growth, and represents the brand in appearance, attitude and professionalism to employees, customers and the community. The Manager is knowledgeable in each product area or department, passionate about outstanding customer service and promotional merchandising.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrive store sales and meet sales goals, focused on company growth.Manage and protect company assets in the designated store.Direct and oversee entire sales efforts, training and mentoring staff in sales strategies and skills.Maintain awareness of sales statistics, inventory and expenses that contribute to profit.Consult and collaborate with the District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies, goals and procedures.Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards in each department are completed.Mentor a team of exceptional Sales Associates, Assistant Managers and Managers in Training.Recruit, hire, train, discipline and evaluate personnel; manage payroll and schedule to meet labor goals.Maintain proper security for the store; partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrinkage.Communicate inventory movement and drive inventory goals and strategies.Follow through on all marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends.Stay informed on competition, new ideas and community events to capitalize on opportunities.Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual, including assisting customers at entry and during peak periods.Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures and notifying management of potential fraud risk.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage subordinate supervisors and non-management employees, including Sales Associates, Hub Drivers, Assistant Managers and Managers in Training; responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation.Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Interview, hire, train, assign, appraise, reward, discipline and resolve employee complaints and problems.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.Experience managing and cultivating a sales team.3–5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.Strong commitment to customer service.Strong leadership and communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
