ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

The Department of Computer Science at Ithaca College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting August 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar committed to undergraduate education and to contributing to the continued evolution of our collaborative and forward-looking computer science program.Applicants fromall areas of computer science are welcome, withparticular encouragement for those specializing in artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, media-focused computation, computer systems, or cybersecurity.This is an exciting time to join our department. We are in the process oflaunching new majors in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, as well asnew minors in Artificial Intelligence, App Development, Data-Centric Computing, and Computer Systems. New faculty will have the opportunity toshape and teach in these programs, and to develop courses aligned with their own areas of expertise.Our department emphasizessmall class sizes,close faculty-student collaboration, andproject-based learning. Faculty are empowered to take initiative, contribute to shared governance, and help guide the direction of the department.
