We offer a competitive base pay of $160,000.00–$182,000.00 per year, with the actual compensation based on your skills and experience. Position Overview The Director of Pharmacy Operations is responsible for all budgetary, people development, operations and regulatory objectives. You will lead and coach team managers to ensure performance goals are met, foster a culture of operational excellence, and maintain regulatory and safety compliance in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, including production planning, quality workflows, and customer service. Partner with the Pharmacist In Charge to build a continuous quality improvement program and maintain regulatory compliance. Drive Lean initiatives to exceed pharmacy business plans. Ensure safety of staff, quality of product, and performance of the team. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Safety, and IT for support resources and a positive employee culture. Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and systems for efficient pharmacy operations. Set and execute long‑term strategies for pharmacy growth with the CEO. Identify business development and innovation opportunities in the compounding space. Build and train pharmacists, technicians, and administrative staff. Set performance expectations, coach teams, and establish best practices. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to ensure profitability. Analyze performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and drive cost‑reduction. Ensure all pharmacy practices meet safety, accuracy, and compliance standards. Oversee quality assurance systems for production accuracy, quality, and dispensing compliance. Stay informed of regulatory changes and ensure compliance. Lead patient‑experience initiatives and maintain high customer service standards. Qualifications Minimum of 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations. Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate in Pharmacy. Active pharmacy license (preferred). Experience in a cGMP and pharmacy compounding environment (preferred). Strong knowledge of pharmacy compliance regulations (FDA, USP, DEA). Proven operational leadership, P&L management, Lean techniques, and strategic planning. Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a startup environment and build new ventures.
