Position Summary: As a school based AAC Specialist, you will work with students with communication disorders or difficulties, providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to help them improve their overall communication skills. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized treatment plans and support students in reaching their educational goals.

Responsibilities: AAC Assessment, SETT AAC device trials and assignment Programming of AAC devices Development of IEP goals and objectives Training of parents, teachers, and other team members on the use of AAC Consultation and collaboration with other related service providers, teachers, and school team members

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited university with an M.A. or M.S. in communication disorders that is recognized by ASHA ASHA CCC’s or CF State SLP License or in the process of applying for a License Teaching certificate, or ability to obtain (if applicable)
