POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the duties required to coordinate and monitor provision of medical services in a professional manner for each individual patient.

Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

Experience: Three (3) years as an RN in community clinic, public health nursing, and/or hospital setting.

Skills and Abilities (which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position):

* Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively individually as well as a team member with physicians and other staff.
* Ability to appropriately interact and educate patients, families, and staff.
* Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft office applications such as Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
* Ability to coordinate the activities of a busy provider practice.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.

License(s)/Certificate(s): Licensed as RN in the State of Missouri.

Essential Functions

* Coordinate and monitor the quality of medical assistant services.
* Coordinate and monitor provisions of medical services.
* Assist providers, take and record vital signs, abnormal results, distribute sample medications and administer injections per provider's orders.
* Triage walk-in clients, call-in clients as appropriate for patient care and safety.
* Keep patients' records, complete appropriate forms and reports. Provide appropriate documentation. Adhere to patient confidentiality.
* Monitor exam set-up.
* Provide health education and counsel patients and family members in provider instructions and treatment program. Coordinate nursing care plans with other team members.
* Initiate the referral of high-risk patients and families for special services, team management, and track the patient's referral (i.e.) abnormal lab results.
* Assist with implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Quality Improvement Programs.
* Observe sign and symptoms, document and report reactions of the treatment to the provider.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
