Ensures that operations are efficient for each program, service, and site. Ensures coordination of care, treatment, and service processes among programs, services, sites, and departments throughout the Medical Center. Maintains awareness of community needs and addresses them appropriately. Creates an environment that enables the Medical Center to fulfill its Mission and meet Strategic Initiatives. Communicates mission and initiatives to staff. Responsible for the implementation and coordination of drug control in the process of providing pharmaceutical care for patients of all ages within the Medical Center. Plans, organizes, and supervises the clinical, distributive, financial, and administrative activities within assigned areas of the Pharmacy Department according to hospital policies, standard practices of the pharmacy profession, and state and federal laws. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Commit to the mission, vision, beliefs, and demonstrate core values. Make effective decisions: The Manager should be able to make well-informed decisions quickly and timely. Demonstrate technical and business acumen through skills and knowledge to deliver high performance. Motivate and develop others to perform their best. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to achieve desired outcomes. Understand and utilize conflict resolution strategies. Be self-aware and motivated, recognizing strengths, weaknesses, and developmental opportunities. Build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders, including physicians. Manage change effectively and serve as a role model for change within the team. Qualifications Entry-level degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy. Pharmacist licensure in Nebraska required. Preferred: Masters of Science in Hospital Pharmacy (Administration), MBA, or MHA. Completion of an Administrative hospital pharmacy residency is preferred. Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy practice experience, including at least one year in a leadership role.
