Shade Eatery at Higgins Beach Inn, Scarborough ME. isseeking an experienced Dishwasher for our 2024 season running May throughOctober. JOB TYPE: part-time seasonal asap through October 2024

COMPENSATION: $16 - $19 per hour

EXPECTED HOURS: 20 - 25 per week

Some of the responsibilities of the Dishwasher include:
  • Responsible forfull cycle; load, run and unload machine ensuring that all dishes, glassware,flatware and silverware are properly cleaned at proper sanitation temperaturesand is ready for service.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitationstandards for pots, pans and trays that need to be hand washed.
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and othercooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
  • Sort and stack clean and dry dishes.
  • Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors.
  • Maintain clean dish area.
  • Follows safety and sanitation procedures with allguidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management.

Education / Work Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2year experience in a full-service kitchen environment.
