  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and recruitment efforts to maintain appropriate staffing levels and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Collaborate with other department heads and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and enhance interdisciplinary communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance nursing quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among nursing staff through training, education, and mentorship opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and external stakeholders to facilitate open communication and address concerns effectively.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles, practices, and standards of care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in nursing practice.
