About The Job The Red Hat Lightspeed product team is seeking a Product Manager to join us in the Raleigh, NC or Boston, MA office to help shape the future of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) management solutions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and willingness to become a subject matter expert in Linux operating system lifecycles, enterprise architecture challenges, and on premise system management. In this role you will contribute to the overall product and go-to-market strategies, getting input from customers and internal stakeholders to evolve and promote the delivery of the roadmap. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, support, sales, and field teams to ensure the success of our offerings. You will be the overall accountable party for delivering functionalities and solutions – responsible for timelines, driving roadmap and program execution, feeding and prioritizing requirements for engineering, and enabling the feedback loop. What You’ll Do Contribute and drive Red Hat Lightspeed and Satellite roadmaps and program execution by working directly with product and engineering teams across the product portfolio to ensure the solution provides value to the User. Define product features and measurable business outcomes. Identify and translate business requirements into technical user stories with acceptance criteria. Requirement gathering and product backlog management. Be responsible for driving the growth of the product (strategy and KPIs). Define and use metrics/KPIs to measure the success and health of products and the impact of business outcomes. Ensure key stakeholders are informed and communicate to field/customers future vision & direction. Align strategic and tactical features in the roadmap with Red Hat’s strategic objectives. Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini), as relevant, for tasks such as brainstorming solutions, deep research, summarizing technical documentation, drafting communications, summarizing complex technical information, and enhancing problem‑solving efficiency across the development lifecycle. What You’ll Bring 3+ years of experience in technical product management, product marketing or development experience in enterprise software. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrated record of influencing others without having direct authority over them. Ability to cultivate team flexibility under changing conditions. Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to adjust style based on audience. Knowledge of market requirements and challenges around infrastructure visibility and management. Experience with agile environments, methodologies, and best practices. The Following Are Considered a Plus Knowledge of and willingness to become a subject matter expert in on premise system management. Experience in IT infrastructure & management software including Linux and other operating systems, virtualization, and container technologies. Achievement of Red Hat Certified System Administrator status is a plus. History with RHEL management solutions a plus, including Red Hat Lightspeed, Red Hat Insights, Red Hat Satellite, RHEL System Roles, and Ansible Automation Platform. Salary The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote‑US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
