KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Machine operators set-up, operate, and maintain machinery, in a manufacturing setting. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ability to Set up machinery for operations and to break down if necessary for maintenance or cleaning
  • Ability to change out dye settings and functionality of fin press
  • Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measure.
  • Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
  • Support 5s and clean up / organization of the Fin Press area
  • Ability to maintain operations of machinery and equipment according to standard work instructions
  • Performance of quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to Shift lead
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations
  • Clean machinery and maintain preventative maintenance on assigned machinery
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to meet daily productivity requirements
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment
  • Be able to communicate effectively with others
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in manufacturing with machine operations - Fin Press / Brake Press etc.
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow all safety standards & BAC Excellence standards


WORKING CONDITIONS
