Coatings Equipment Specialist

OverviewAs a Coatings Equipment Specialist, you will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of current and legacy Automotive OEM topcoat applications process equipment used by PPG Technical and Manufacturing sites, with a focus on the Cleveland facility. You will provide technical guidance to operators on safe operation of Topcoat Coat Painting Systems including the development and update of PPG Technical and Quality Assurance work manuals for paint application.ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all PPG Policies, Blueprint and Business Strategy goals including EH&S, Business Conduct, Code of Ethics, and all governmental regulations and laws.Provide support for Cleveland Technical and Spray Application Department equipment and ensure alignment with operation at other PPG Spray lab Facilities.Research and compare equipment used at OEM manufacturers against PPG systems and provide technical guidance or improvement to Application Spray labs.Become knowledgeable and provide as-needed application support for other PPG Facilities and assist with trouble shooting, repair and preventive maintenance of automated paint systems.Keep PPG technologies matched with new equipment trends through PPG internal updates of engineering market advancements.
