Job Description Crowe LLP is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Litigation and Regulatory Affairs to manage the firm’s responses to all litigation, regulatory investigations, and subpoenas, advise professionals on risk items, and support the General Counsel within Crowe’s Firm Risk Management business unit. The role requires learning Crowe’s business lines, proactively identifying risk, and driving good business processes. Role and Responsibilities Oversee and manage litigation and dispute resolution: work with external counsel, develop case assessments and budgets, conduct internal fact‑finding, facilitate discovery, monitor pleadings and motions, and advise leadership on litigation risks. Manage the firm’s response to civil and regulatory subpoenas, including document collection, custodian interviews, email search and retrieval, and document review. Provide practical, business‑oriented legal counsel to engagement teams to proactively resolve disputes and mitigate risk. Advise professionals and leadership on regulatory investigations and firm risks, applying SEC, PCAOB, and AICPA requirements. Develop and deliver training on litigation and regulatory risk to drive continuous improvement. Learn in detail about data platforms, information repositories, organizational structure, and related systems to meet legal preservation requirements. Supervise and mentor team members to support career growth. Key Qualifications Ability to fluidly manage workload in accordance with business objectives and internal client priorities. Superb organizational skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, and strong written and verbal communication. Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to take on tasks as needed. Enthusiasm for learning new technology and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Additional experience in employment law, bankruptcy law, data security, or corporate governance is helpful but not required. Juris Doctor required. At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in a law firm or in‑house counsel role and admission to a state bar in good standing. Previous experience in the public accounting industry or an active CPA license is preferred. We expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship. The wage range for this role is estimated at $149,400.00 – $317,100.00 per year, based on factors such as skill set, experience, licensure, and business needs.
