You will lead the integration of technical disciplines in product and systems engineering, ensuring alignment with the SDG business roadmap. This role involves strategic planning, cross‑functional leadership, and hands‑on management of technical projects, with up to 65% dedicated to research and development.How Will You Make a Difference?Strategy & PlanningDefine vision and strategic direction for network infrastructure, platforms, and toolsDrive architecture of operational and revenue‑bearing systems to enhance customer valueDevelop and implement enterprise‑wide information system strategiesEngineering & OperationsSpearhead research, development, and deployment of operational systemsAdapt commercial technology to solve business challengesProvide Tier‑3 support for core infrastructure (data centers, networks, cloud services)Ensure consistent infrastructure standards and proceduresTeam & Project ManagementLead the Systems Engineering team, setting priorities and motivating staffCoordinate cross‑team subject matter experts to design and implement complex systemsManage vendor relationships and ensure successful product enhancements and deploymentsOversee projects to modernize SD Government networks, tracking milestones and mitigating risksQualificationsB.S. in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)10+ years in IT/technology leadership roles, with 3+ years in infrastructure and operations7-10 years managing, developing, and coaching a teamMust have secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain oneRequired Skills, Experience, and TalentsExpertise in networks, satellites, information systems, security, and voice routingProficiency in IT infrastructure management, virtualization, Windows/Linux, networking, and security standards (DOD/NIST)In‑depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and platform management, including virtualization, server, storage, AD, DNS, networking, email, backup, Windows, Linux, DOD/NIST IT security guidelines, and endpoint securityExperience with scripting/programming languages/environmentsDesigning and testing strategies and architectureExperience working with third‑party vendors in a managed services modelStrong leadership skills, ability to influence, inspire trust, and build relationships with the team, senior leaders, and across the organizationEnthusiastic problem solver with advanced strategic thinking skills, and strong attention to detailSelf‑motivated and proactively going beyond the call of dutyExceptional verbal presentation and written communication skillsEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay: 148,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short‑Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 20% (of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program: YesBenefitsGogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee's needs.
