Job Title: Senior Aerial Operations Field TrainerJob Location (Short): West Palm Beach, FL | Atlanta, GAWorkplace Type: HybridDiscover a more connected careerAt Dycom Industries, as a Senior Field Trainer, you’ll develop, deliver, and assess comprehensive training programs for new and existing field technicians across a wide geographic territory, ensuring our decentralized teams possess the necessary technical knowledge, practical skills, and adherence to safety protocols for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure.Connecting you to great benefitsWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal InsuranceDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much moreWhat you’ll doInstruct technicians on industry best practices, company standards, and proper techniques for working with aerial utilitiesAssess technician competency through written exams and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback and necessary remediation while on-siteDeliver comprehensive, multi-modal training (classroom, practical lab, on-the-job/field) on all aspects of underground telecommunications plant, including Pole Climbing, Framing for Telecom, Aerial Electrical Safety, Bucket Truck Operations, Digger Derrick Operations and Pole Handling, Setting and RemovalCoordinate all logistics around booking and scheduling with local site management to ensure training schedules are met efficiently across multiple locationsAdapt training delivery methods and schedules to accommodate varying local operational needs and crew availabilityMaintain detailed, accurate records of all training sessions, attendance, technician performance, and certifications using mobile or remote platformsCollaborate remotely with Training and Field Operations management to identify skill gaps and report training results and compliance status from the fieldChampion a strong safety culture by training rigorously on OSHA and company safety regulations, particularly those related to Pole Climbing, Framing for Telecom, Aerial Electrical Safety, Bucket Truck Operations, Digger Derrick Operations and Pole Handling, Setting and RemovalEnsure all training activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, performing on- site safety audits during training sessionsWhat you’ll needTo be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyA valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record are mandatory. Class A CDL is preferred8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Aerial Telecommunications Field OperationsProven knowledge of aerial plant construction and hardware, with expertise in safe work techniquesExcellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to train diverse groups of adult learners in unfamiliar locationsPrior experience as a technical Trainer or Field Supervisor/Lead responsible for mentoring across multiple sitesRelevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, enclosed space entry)Experience utilizing mobile technology and remote conferencing tools for administrative tasks and reporting while travelingHighly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage a full training schedule and travel logistics independentlyWhy grow your career with usYour career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
