Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.RoleAs an RF systems engineer on the team, you will be responsible for defining the RF systems roadmap, trades, technology incubation and driving RF sub-systems budgets and requirements, modeling for the commercial and USG satellites payload and TT&C systems. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle for your ideas and work collaboratively with engineers across the organization to develop creative and innovative solutions that will push the envelope of satellite technology.System budgeting of gain, noise, linearity, distortion, interference, capacity (link budgeting)Test planning and execution at the integrated system level as well as board levelInvolved in architectural trades and a range of design decisions all the way down to the component/circuit levelAssist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing teamRequirementsFamiliar with software development (Python, and some C/C++), and fast to learn new toolsRF system level design and budgetingRF testing and test designHighly organized and process orientedStrong technical communication skills (oral and written)Familiar with analog/RF components and associated impairmentsBachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or equivalentA passion for working in a fast-paced environment and constantly learningDon’t meet them all?
