Atlanta, United States Connexure Full time

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Atlanta Connexure is a software company serving the self‑funded medical benefits ecosystem. Our software helps stop‑loss carriers, brokers, and third‑party administrators with quoting, underwriting, and administering stop‑loss policies. Our mission is to unify the self‑funded medical ecosystem through integrated technologies, processes, and data insights. Our leadership team believes in a customer‑centric approach to driving value and creating a network where the software becomes value‑additive through stakeholder interoperability. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who align with our vision and will support the next phase of growth. Overview The Mid‑Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This role bridges the gap between software development and quality assurance by writing code to test code, often leveraging AI agents and tooling. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to create robust testing strategies, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and help drive a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities Understand requirements, design, implement, and execute automated tests for web, API, and backend systems. Build and maintain test frameworks, tools, and test environments. Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and best practices. Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with engineers to resolve them. Participate in code reviews and contribute to test case reviews. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Continuously improve testing processes, tools and coverage. Work cross‑functionally to optimize testing strategies. Provide feedback on software design for better testability. Reduce test suite execution time while maintaining high defect detection rates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. 3–6 years of experience in software testing and test automation. Deep experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices testing, and backend validation. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Hybrid model: Tuesday – Thursday in office (standard business hours), Monday and Friday remote. Flexibility with schedule around general business hours. Must have reliable internet and familiarity with digital platforms.
