This leadership role requires a strong background in medical device manufacturing, thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, and brings deep expertise in direct materials sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive value and ensure quality.If you are passionate about transforming sourcing strategies and making a meaningful impact in healthcare, we invite you to join our team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies that balance cost, quality and innovation, and align with business objectives.Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure supply security, competitive pricing and priority.Lead supply performance reviews, manage KPIs and oversee contracts and compliance.Analyze commodity market trends to identify cost savings opportunities and mitigate risks and volatility.Deliver measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and value engineering.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory landscape and ESG.Provide strategic direction and leadership for direct materials category team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate the procurement offering and value proposition.Implement tools and systems to enhance procurement efficiency and reporting.Anticipate and manage risks related to supply disruptions, market shifts and regulatory changes.Develop contingency sourcing strategies to safeguard business continuity.Influence internal stakeholders to ensure successful strategy implementation.Direct the professional growth of the team by providing individualized guidance, training and supervision.Delegate work assignments, set expectations, monitor delegated activities and empower team members to work independently.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals and buyers.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Supply Chain organization.Collaborate with other leaders to align procurement strategies with Terumo BCT product development timelines.Minimum Qualification RequirementsEducationExperienceMinimum of 10 years progressive management experience.Work with drug/device combination products is desired.Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments required.Experience with sourcing in a Global environment.SkillsExperience with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle or JD EdwardsAbility to negotiate complex contracts, strong contract management and supplier development capabilities.Ability to solve practical problems and interpret and communicate complex information.Demonstrated creativity and the ability to think “outside the box”.Demonstrated ability to analyze a high level of detail and make educated decisions with limited data.Capability to define and communicate planning and procurement challenges and provide guidance to top management in developing and implementing positive and proactive solutions.Demonstrated ability to interact productively and to effectively influence peers, external colleagues and senior management.Knowledge of current FDA regulatory and ISO requirements and trends impacting medical devices.Capability to interact with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence.Ability to help management balance planning and procurement requirements with business needs and identify solutions to meet both sets of requirements.Willingness to take ownership and accept responsibility for actions and decisions.Detail-oriented, well organized and able to work independently and in teams.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.Commitment to cross-functional problem solving.Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Strong commitment to company values.Knowledge of manufacturing operations, engineering, tactical execution, customer service, professional communications, cross-functionality, problem solving, and business ethics.LocationLakewood, Colorado or Remote -
