Lead Data Scientist - Drive Join DoorDash to lead analytics for our rapidly growing Machine‑Economy vertical within Drive. We provide merchants with a white‑label delivery solution and are looking for an Analytics Lead to drive data‑driven product decisions. About The Team DoorDash supports merchants such as restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies, empowering them to grow via on‑demand delivery through DoorDash’s white‑label solution, Drive. About The Role As Lead Data Scientist you will develop strategic insights, work closely with product, engineering, strategy, and operations teams, oversee metrics and analytics strategy, provide technical leadership, build robust data foundations, and drive measurement of new features. Responsibilities Influence product and operations roadmap through actionable data recommendations. Interface with senior leadership to showcase work and tackle complex business problems. Drive measurement strategy, define success metrics, and implement best practices around experiment design and statistical analysis. Develop a strategic learning roadmap based on data observations, questions, and hypotheses. Qualifications Degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. 8+ years of experience in Data Science and Product Analytics, primarily in related industries. Strong technical chops and ability to translate data insights into business context. Deep understanding and hands‑on experience with experimentation. Experience building data pipelines. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills; ability to present complex findings to non‑technical audiences. Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the specified range, based on experience, location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized. In addition to base salary, compensation includes opportunities for equity grants. Paid Time Off Details For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at 1 hour per 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
