During procedures the nurse will function in one of three roles: circulating, scrub or patient monitoring nurse for sedation cases. During the post operative phase the nurse will function with distinct competencies for the post anesthesia or recovery phase. # Report To: Manager # Supervisory Responsibility: Direction: The job requires some accountability for scheduling, assigning or coordinating work. Employees check the quality of work and provide guidance, instruction, training and direction to others. Although the job does not require formal or official supervisory responsibility, the incumbent serves as group leader or acts in an informal #assistant supervisory# or #lead# role. In addition, the employee may be expected to provide information or suggestions on human resources matters. # Materials Responsibility: Limited: Work requires limited responsibility for material resources. Education: Associate's Degree

Field Of Study: Nursing

Special Training: Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS

Training Preferred: Baccalaureate in Nursing, Clinical Certification, AORN, ASPAN, GI Nursing

Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Illinois, Registered Nurse in Iowa within 1 year.

Experience: No experience required.
