The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing thermoforming processes and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes, including mold development.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and develop internal and external products, molds, equipment using SolidWorksCreate detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturabilityConduct simulations and analyses to validate designs and optimize performanceTroubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing processStay updated with industry trends and advancements in thermoforming technologyEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsCreate a safe work environmentAll other duties as requestedQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldProven experience in mechanical design, specifically in thermoformingProficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and draftingStrong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with finite element analysis (FEA)Knowledge of thermoplastic materials and their behavior under different conditionsExperience with project management and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to thermoformingProficiency in other CAD software and simulation toolsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing principles and practicesPrevious experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsStrong organizational and time management skillsCOMPANY CULTURE:At MAKS Plastics, we believe that our people are our greatest asset.
