General Manager, Depot Operations

Our Depot Operation supports a host of services including Industrial and Heavy Equipment storage, Modification and Repair work in our maintenace shops, container sales and leasing, Port logistics and support, and much more. This role will support the Southeast and Gulf location in the US, the right candidate will be located within easily commutable distance to any of our Depots in the Southeast/Gulf region. This role is on-site full time with travel up to 50% of the time to visit the assigned Depot sites. Responsibilities TheDepot General Manager is responsible for high level oversight of the Depot locations within the assigned region.This includes ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of services related to the inspection, repair, maintenance, and storage of equipment such as containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, and more. This role also provides oversight to equipment sales and the development of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. Provide day-to-day expertise to support operations to ensure a safe and productive workplacein line with company standards and regulations. Ensurecompliance with regulatory requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures related to depot operations. Monitor operational activities and trackKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)to ensure they remain within acceptable standards. Meet customer needs and commitments by effectively managing depot activities and maintaining high service quality. Assist with the development ofgoals and objectivesfor the depot operation, focusing on production, profitability, safety, and compliance, in alignment with regional and business unit goals. Monitor employee performance, provideconstructive feedback, and take appropriate action as necessary to maintain a productive workforce. Build and maintain strong relationships withexisting and potential customersto ensure continued business and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience indepot operations management, logistics, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus onemployee developmentand fostering a positive workplace culture. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations for depot operations. Strong ability tomonitor and analyze operational performance, including KPIs, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and service quality. Excellentcustomer relationship managementskills, with the ability to manage both internal and external customer expectations effectively. Solid understanding ofequipment maintenance and repair processes(containers, chassis, refrigerated containers, gensets, etc.). Strongproblem-solving skillsand the ability to resolve operational challenges in a timely manner. Effectivecommunicationandcollaborationskills to work with internal teams, external partners, and union representatives. Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening Open availability Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing Depot/Railyard operations or similar logistical operations. Familiarity with industry regulations and safety protocols. Strong coaching and team development skills. Work Environment: The role involves working Indoors/outdoors in a Depot environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
