Surgical Technician (Operating Room)-

- **Department Description:**

- Perioperative Services covering various specialties.

- Growth in services including minimally invasive surgery, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic program.

- Emphasis on state-of-the-art care with highly-regarded surgeons.

- **Job Duties/Responsibilities:**

- Surgical Technician role to provide quality patient care.

- Assist surgical provider and circulating nurse during surgical procedures.

- Prepare surgical equipment, maintain sterile environment, and assist with tasks.

- On-call responsibilities required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

- **Education/Training:**

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.

- Successful completion of Periop101 during CHA orientation.

- **Certifications:**

- Certified Surgical Technician certification required.

- American Heart Association BLS certification required.

- **Work Experience:**

- Minimum 2 years current surgical technologist experience required.
