We are seeking a Locum Physiatry (PM&R) Physician for an assignment in Hartford, CT. This position is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, focusing on inpatient care with no night shifts, weekends, or holidays required.
In this role, you will be responsible for several critical tasks. These include preparing and documenting discharge summaries and medical records, participating in clinical staffing and care plan meetings, and providing weekly care plan documentation. You will also handle pre-admission screenings and ensure documentation aligns with CMS guidelines. Additionally, prescribing narcotics as necessary will be part of your duties.
Requirements:
· ACLS Certification.
· Board Certification in Physiatry (PM&R).
· Active Connecticut medical license (or willingness to obtain).
· DEA registration.
· Proficiency in specialized PM&R procedures including stroke management, amputations, and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
